Indian cuisine uses a lot of spices and vegetables grown in India.  Vegetarianism is widespread in India and is reflected in the cuisine. Indian Food varies from region to region and is influenced by ethnicity of the Indian subcontinent. The various flavors of Indian Food by region are North Indian Food, South Indian Food, Western Indian Food and the Eastern Indian Food. Each regional food has snacks, drinks, main course dishes that include breads and or Rice and curry with vegetables and desserts. There is also the influence of neighboring cultures and the Indian Chinese dishes have a unique flavor of Indian cooking to traditional Chinese dishes.
