- Urad daal
- Rava (wheat)
- Ginger & green chilles – As per Taste
- Salt – As per taste
Soak urad daal for 6-8 hours (overnight).
Grind it into fine batter, not too thin and runny. Add equal amount of rava and grind once more
Add salt, grated ginger and green chilies.
(If making for kids, add crushed curry leaves in place of chilies. Adds nice flavor)
You can also add a little bit of finely chopped onion, if preferred.
Pour batter it into Appe-pan and dot with oil.
Turn over after golden brown.
Serve with dose/idli chutney.
