Potato Chivda, popularly known as upvasacha (fasting) chivda in
Maharashtra and Pharali Chivda in Gujarat. This is served as Tea time snacks.
Its a common feature at typical maharashtrian food shops in Maharashtra. It is
sweet, salty and slightly spicy mixture of fried shredded potato, cashews, dry coconut, raisins, sugar, salt and
chillies. I just loved this chivda because it is less sweet compared to the
fresh varieties available in stores in India. Though it is deep fried, you
don't feel oily while eating it.
Verdict: Buy
Available at most Indian Grocery Stores
